Participating on Design in Focus (DiF) is easy. Together with participants we create content that aligns with our mission & vision to demonstrate the Value (1) & Impact (2) of Creativity (3), Innovation (4) and Design (5) in Business (6) & Society (7). What's with all the Numbers? We thought it may be easier to convey and filter across multiple concepts. To create content you can pick three or more keywords. E.g. Value of creativity in society or Impact of innovative design in business and society. Of course creativity can be replaced with a specific creative field such as music, branding, etc. These 7 keywords are meant as a compass to guide the body of our works.
Participating can be super simple or more complex depending on your goals. We have 3 standard routes, Leasure, Explorer and Adventurer, which vary in complexity from low effort to high. You can partake in a one and done or you can be a regular. There are four pillars which enables us to produce content from 4 different viewpoints. If you are not familiar with them yet, please view this section. In short #IndustryTalks (club(s)) is industry focussed, #TheHumanExperience (heart) is human centered, #TheDreamTeamRoundtable (diamond) is demonstrative and #TheDarkSideoftheForce (spade) is solutions focussed. Five steps gets you there, these are :
Fill in the form.
Schedule a call for an introduction and to plan.
Approve final content.
Publish to our platform and digital channels.
6 AREAS ON DIF
Six areas, six ways to engage. Depending on the route you take, you can visit more areas. The leasure route leads to the galleries and digital channels in area 1. Explorers can explore 1 and 2. And on the Adventure route you may pick and choose from all 6 areas. Cost of all of this? 0 money + the effort you put into it.
The 6 areas mentioned below is only DiF related. If you already do some of the activities related to the areas below, and don't want to use the DiF platform, we can still add that to your experience page if you have one for example (See this page).
Before proceeding, please review the formalities section. When you onboard one of our programs, you have to agree to our terms & conditions, understand each party's, role and responsibility, as well as the implications and consequences of having media published in which you as a person is represented, both contextually and legally.
Additionally you will have to sign an agreement and release form. Please make sure that you are willing to sign the agreement which you can read on the legal page of the formalities portal. If you are not comfortable signing the document, please do not proceed as we will not publish any work not fully authorised and signed. If you do proceed without reading the formalities and this becomes an issue at a later stage when time & resources has been spent to produce the multimedia work, you will be financially liable for the compensation of time and resources spent on you.
Creating & publishing multimedia content is serious business. Co-creating is also. Design in Focus represented by Candice Storm is a small organisation and Candice Storm uses her personal time and funds to keep it running. Please remain human and considerate of this. Maintaining a symbiotic relationship that is mutually beneficial is our goal and we seek out participants who have the same mindset.
